With a history spanning over 130 years Kennett Crafted Jewels has a unique understanding of what makes fine jewellery and how to provide premium service.
Kennett Crafted Jewels began its history in 1880 with Robert and Annie Kennett opening the family jewellery and watchmaking business in High Street, Christchurch, as R Kennett – Watchmakers and Jewellers. In 1915 the business passed to their son, Ronald. The business expanded to include optical services and traded as R L Kennett & Co. Jewellers and Opticians. 1935 saw Tony Kennett enter the business as the third generation, who ran the business as Kennetts Jewellers, in the same High Street location along with his wife Neroli until 2011. Due to the devastating earthquakes in 2011 they were forced to relocate to a new store in Colombo Street. From February 2018 the company returned to High Street where it all happened for them over 130 years ago. The business is now managed by their daughter Anne Kennett, who is supported by Neroli Fornasier and Stephanie Milne whose complimentary skills to the business are essential to the customer’s experience. Continuing the Kennett family tradition in a contemporary setting, Kennett Crafted Jewels prides itself on its integrity, honesty, and service. The business, as it always has, focuses on selling engagement and wedding rings, premium watch brands and providing valuation and repair services. While Anne’s predecessors have been watchmakers Anne’s passion for jewellery design has strengthened the companies own manufacturing and now offers a full bespoke design service.
